Laparoscopic Ovarian Drilling

Just had my Laparoscopic Ovarian Drilling laser operation this morning. The wounds hurt when I move.

Hopefully, my periods will be more consistent from now on. For those of you who have encountered missed periods/ irregular periods, please do something about it now! Do not delay like me. I had experienced hair loss on my scalp but increased body hair. Do not wait till it is to late.

If you get the crab offer, each person is only entitled to only half a crab. But I have terrible eczema now, maybe allergy reactions due to the medicine I am eating now, so I don't eat. I don't eat seafood usually, unless it is deep fried but very rarely. I took the cheaper buffet option.

The ala carte buffet means you can order anything on the menu as many times as you want. Too bad the offer is only for weekday dinner. The food is quite nice.  I was quite surprised that there weren't many people.

I went with my mother-in-law and hubby. I am quite broke recently because I spent so much money on seeing doctors, especially seeing gynaes  (around 1k so far for these 3 weeks) and going for the laparoscopic ovarian drilling operation (cost 7k!!) isn't cheap. so I tried to save money not going to the restaurants so often, going to coffee shop or food court more often now. This reminds me what a lousy spendthrift I am usually.  Since this is to celebrate my mother's in law's birthday in advance, so my hubby paid for it.


The peanuts must be paid for separately but they are delicious. think maybe from cans. the abalone is so cute and tiny. The longgan drink doesn't come with any longgans.







the lotus soup is a bit salty and I didn't like sweet and spicy sichuan soup( above) but I enjoyed eating the pork ribs below. The fish is quite fresh but the Furong egg omelette is a bit too rich with so many ingredients inside.





LOL. I didnt edit the prawns with the butter (?) sauce properly. ended up with 2 same pics. Haha, but the prawns were delicious. The oatmeal prawns paled in comparision because I like sweet sauce!

Damon Braces update.

took some photos using my iPhone but I dunno why the pics not clear. I tried simple editing but I don't seem to be able to upload the photos to my computer. I also cannot see the dates and times when I took the photos. Help! 

Been experiencing quite a number of ulcers and sore throat. terrible cuts and pain caused by the braces.

Polycystic ovary syndrome

I have been experiencing irregular periods for abt 2 years. The last period was in Nov 2010. Over the last 2 years, I have already seen 4 gynaes but this last one diagnosed me as Polycystic ovary syndrome.

I am going for the larposcopic ovarian drilling laser operation.

Damon Braces!!!

Got the rest of the braces, springs and metal wires placed onto my teeth today. It took about half an hour for the whole procedure and my teeth feels painful and tensed whenever I'm eating. Food also gets trapped easily. I already received a set of dental stuff and notes for brushing my teeth. The lower right braces seemed to cut into my jaws/ mouth.

Damon braces, Spacers and back braces

Last Thursday (5 May), I had spacers (elastic bands) put in between my molar and wisdom teeth. On Tues morning, one of the spacers came off when I flossed my teeth (we are not supposed to floss, you know?) . I didn't know I can see another dentist to put it back as my orthodontist only works at the hospital every Thursday.

The spacers were to be removed and back teeth braces placed at the 4 molar teeth. I had an X-ray ($13) taken too as mine was a complicated case (I had a dental implant). The total cost today was $20. Last week, I think I forked out $1877 for half the treatment cost. I consulted at this hospital for half a year already, had my molds and full x rays taken some time back last dec. I also had to get my teeth extracted 2 weeks ago and a temporary crown for my implant a month ago.

Today, I had some tensional pain as she tried to put the braces at the back at the tooth whose spacer came off. As a result, the dental plier (I think) hit the ridge of my mouth roof hard and made me bled.

I couldn't eat well for the last 2 weeks. Today I also could not eat properly as the friction and the braces kept cutting the sides of my inner cheeks. Next week I will have my braces put in for both the upper and lower rows of teeth. :)

Japan Day 1

Visited Japan exactly one month ago and this was our first trip to Japan.

This was a restaurant located at Ginza 2-4-6, Ginza Velvia-kan 7F, that we visited on the first night of our free and easy trip... We reached our hotel quite late as we were trying hard to find our way. Because I haven't fully recovered from my pneumonia, my Chinese Physician gave me strict instructions not to eat any chicken as chicken would trigger/ make my cough worse. It is very hard to control my eating.

We didn't know how to read the menu though we were effectively bilingual. The japanese menu only had noodles and we ordered add-ons as we were very hungry. 

This is what I ordered. Pork noodles with pork-base soup, very delicious but very oily and fattening.

Plum wine and hot sake. I like the sweet fruity taste of the plum wine 

but the sake is not as good as I expected.

Our bill. Quite ex but it seemed worth it. It was late, we were really hungry and my noodles were delicious!

4000 yen is about 63 sgd.

We left 400 yen as tips as the waitresses were helpful but a waiter thought we forgot to take out change. One waitress even stuffed a handful of sweets at our hands but we took a few only.

As  we started to walk out of the restaurant, some people stared at us and made comments in Japanese. Hey, what a joke! I have forgotten to take off my disposable bib! (the bib is something like apron to prevent our clothes from being stained by the splattering of noodles/ soup)
