2nd taobao purchases via sea shipment through 65daigou.com

This was the second time I used 65daigou.com, and the shipping came up to about quite a lot, for the whole lot of 50kg. It was cheap compared to the air shipping but the whole process took a darn long time. I placed some orders in April and received the stuff on 6 June. It took about 6+ weeks for the supplier to send the stuff to Shanghai and 65daigou.com to pack and ship back to Singapore via sea shipping. there were 4 huge boxes. I must applaud the 65daigou.com staff for they were really very neat in the packing of 100+ orders  made.

Here's some photos of the purchases.

Agnes B phone cover as Birthday Present

Got this beautiful Agnes B phone cover with swarovski crystals as Birthday Present. Think must be quite expensive. looks and feels expensive and good quality, nice to touch rubberised texture. so thin that I feel the camera lens might be easily scratched when placed flat on table/ rough surfaces. It is the 2nd cover I have gotten as a birthday present from my friends. and M1 gave a set of 3 beautiful plastic covers free as well when I got it as a birthday present last month.

Dr. Hauschka and rhythmic night conditioner

Had 4 pcs of $5 Tangs vouchers which was due on 30 June so I had to spend them before the deadline. There were many stuff which were too expensive. Now that I am getting poorer, I had to cut down on my spending. Armed with the vouchers and the Tangs card, I bought four Hauschka trial sized items at $31 in total. I didn't fork out any cash, just used the rebate in the card.
These are the products.

The lemon bath is quite warming when I rubbed it between my hands. It was also very relaxing. Somehow, it smelt better on my hands than in the bottle. I don't have a bath tub so I couldn't have a bath. Haha.

When I reached home, I realized that I haven't used any of my last  (refer to this link) Hauschka purchase at all. I took out this rhythmic night conditioner ampoules from my cupboard and starting using. According to intructions, I had to use 2 ampoules. The ampoule was quite thin, not viscose. It smelt like roses and was easily absorbed into the skin. However, I felt a bit itchy on my left jaw after applying a second ampoule. ( I am okay now , on the next day)

 Each box costs $205.
Each box has only 50 ampoules.
I spent quite a lot last time, I think at least $400++ (couldnt remember my purchase, need to check) to get 20 ampoules free. Each box has 5 trays, each tray has 10 ampoules.

 Instructions from the box.

Each ampoule is only 1ml. Broke off two ampoules to use.

Dilation and curettage

Hey!!
I got a follower! I am so happy!!! :)

On the Wednesday that just passed, I got the results of my D & C which was done at the same time as my Laparoscopic Ovarian Drilling Laser Operation.

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dilation_and_curettage:
Dilation (or dilatation) and curettage (D&C) refers to the dilation (widening/opening) of the cervix and surgical removal of part of the lining of theuterus and/or contents of the uterus by scraping and scooping (curettage). It is a diagnostic gynecological procedure as well as a rarely used method of first trimester abortion.[1][2]

I was diagnosed as having 'Disordered proliferative endometrium' and my gynae said I was lucky as it is not cancer. I must take medicine to make my uterine lining (endometrium) normal.

Can anyone tell me what is this condition? My gynae said it is totally different from endometriosis which meant the menstrual blood flowed backwards.

Even now, when I accidentally pressed against my surgery scars,  could feel a bump below and it could be painful when pressed. I think only the surface cells patched up as scars but inside haven't totally recovered yet.

After I recover from this, I would want to offer more support to women who face the same problems.

Some thoughts on Laparoscopic ovarian drilling and Metformin

Refer to my previous post.
I just had my laparoscopic ovarian selling last Tues. It's been a week since the operation. I was given 2 weeks of hospitalization leave but I think I didn't rest well. I started feeling pain again yesterday and today when I went back to work. Upon some colleagues' advice, I decided not to risk my life and health and will take some rest these few days.

The wounds have almost healed completely but there are abrasion and burn marks caused by the sticky 3M surgical tape on the surrounding areas.

Ever since I seen this gynae, I have been taking this diabetic drug, Metformin which can help to regulate the cycles for polycystic ovaries syndrome, pcos. Initially I took one 500mg Metformin tablet a day along with an anti-nausea and diarrhea medicine. But I kept having diarrhea and keep feeling nauseous.

Last Thursday, when I returned for follow-up,my gynae increased my Metformin dosage to twice a day and without the anti-nauseous pill. Instead he also gave me a bottle of sickening liquid which made me gag and feel nauseous and I had to take 10 ml thrice a day. I always take sweets after eating but I have stopped eating it totally coz I want to vomit.

Anyway, increasing the Metformin dosage made me feel weaker and have diarrhea more often. I feel very tired and sleepy easily. Metformin is supposed to lower the sugar level as pcos patients may have high insulin resistance and become obese easily.
Anyone of you had the same experience and care to share with us?

By the way, the gynae also said I have a bit of Endometriosis but my Fallopian tubes are not blocked.

Universal Studio Singapore

Went to universal studio yesterday. If I do not go now, I will not be able to do so after I have my operation.

An adult ticket cost $72 and you can get 20% discount if you are a NTUC member.

Battlestar Galactica is very fun!!

Laparoscopic Ovarian Drilling

Just had my Laparoscopic Ovarian Drilling laser operation this morning. The wounds hurt when I move.

Hopefully, my periods will be more consistent from now on. For those of you who have encountered missed periods/ irregular periods, please do something about it now! Do not delay like me. I had experienced hair loss on my scalp but increased body hair. Do not wait till it is to late.

Tian Wang at Sembawang Shopping Centre

If you get the crab offer, each person is only entitled to only half a crab. But I have terrible eczema now, maybe allergy reactions due to the medicine I am eating now, so I don't eat. I don't eat seafood usually, unless it is deep fried but very rarely. I took the cheaper buffet option.

The ala carte buffet means you can order anything on the menu as many times as you want. Too bad the offer is only for weekday dinner. The food is quite nice.  I was quite surprised that there weren't many people.

I went with my mother-in-law and hubby. I am quite broke recently because I spent so much money on seeing doctors, especially seeing gynaes  (around 1k so far for these 3 weeks) and going for the laparoscopic ovarian drilling operation (cost 7k!!) isn't cheap. so I tried to save money not going to the restaurants so often, going to coffee shop or food court more often now. This reminds me what a lousy spendthrift I am usually.  Since this is to celebrate my mother's in law's birthday in advance, so my hubby paid for it.

The peanuts must be paid for separately but they are delicious. think maybe from cans. the abalone is so cute and tiny. The longgan drink doesn't come with any longgans.

the lotus soup is a bit salty and I didn't like sweet and spicy sichuan soup( above) but I enjoyed eating the pork ribs below. The fish is quite fresh but the Furong egg omelette is a bit too rich with so many ingredients inside.

LOL. I didnt edit the prawns with the butter (?) sauce properly. ended up with 2 same pics. Haha, but the prawns were delicious. The oatmeal prawns paled in comparision because I like sweet sauce!

Sharks' fins soup and crab! along with other ala carte dishes.

Damon Braces update.

took some photos using my iPhone but I dunno why the pics not clear. I tried simple editing but I don't seem to be able to upload the photos to my computer. I also cannot see the dates and times when I took the photos. Help!

Been experiencing quite a number of ulcers and sore throat. terrible cuts and pain caused by the braces.

how my teeth look today on 13 June, 3.5 weeks after full braces on 19 May.

Polycystic ovary syndrome

I have been experiencing irregular periods for abt 2 years. The last period was in Nov 2010. Over the last 2 years, I have already seen 4 gynaes but this last one diagnosed me as Polycystic ovary syndrome.

I am going for the larposcopic ovarian drilling laser operation.
